White Lodging Opens Hilton Garden Inn Salt Lake City Airport

MERRILLVILLE, Ind.—White Lodging Services announced the grand opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Salt Lake City Airport. The hotel opened six weeks ahead of schedule and under budget.

“We are thrilled to bring the first newly constructed Hilton-affiliated hotel in over 20 years to the airport market. Kudos to our development team for delivering this project from start to finish in just under 12 months,” said Deno Yiankes, president and CEO of White Lodging’s Investments and Developments Division, in an announcement.

The hotel was developed and is owned by REI Real Estate Services and White Lodging affiliates. The hotel will be operated by White Lodging. The hotel is White Lodging’s 24th Hilton affiliated property.

The 172-room Hilton Garden Inn, is larger than a traditional Hilton Garden Inn with ballroom space accommodating up to 300 for wedding receptions, social events, or corporate meetings. The hotel offers complimentary WiFi, a 24-hour business center and 3,500 square feet of meeting space.

Each room is equipped with a 37-inch LCD TV, mini-refrigerator, and microwave, and guests have access to the 24-hour fitness center and the adjacent heated, indoor swimming pool.

The hotel marks White Lodging’s 159th property and will be run by a leadership team of opening general manager Wes McIlrath, assistant general manager Jeffery Fazzio and director of sales Joan Brady.
