White Lodging Eyes Chicago for Hyatt Hotels

It looks like Chicago-based Hyatt will soon have two more branded properties opening up in its hometown. According to this report from Crain’s Chicago Business, White Lodging and Albert Friedman have plans to develop a Hyatt Place and Hyatt House at 740 N. Rush St., currently home to Giordano’s restaurant.

Friedman and White Lodging have agreed to buy the property from Victory Park Capital, a private equity firm.

This project will mark the first Hyatt House property in the city and the second Hyatt Place—the first opened in the River North neighborhood last year.
