Starwood Expands in Argentina With Opening of Sheraton in Tucuman

STAMFORD, Conn.—Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide announced the opening of the Sheraton Tucuman Hotel in Argentina. The new property offers all of the Sheraton brand’s signature amenities and services, including Sheraton Club Lounge, Link@Sheraton experienced with Microsoft, and Sheraton Fitness programmed by Core Performance. It also features extensive meeting facilities. The property is owned by Argentine company Sol del NOA S.A. and is operated by Starwood.

“Sheraton is Starwood’s powerhouse brand around the world and in Latin America where we currently operate 33 Sheraton branded hotels from Mexico City to Buenos Aires,” said Osvaldo Librizzi, co-president of the Americas, Starwood Hotels and Resorts. “Adding the Sheraton Tucuman to our portfolio and continuing to expand the brand’s robust footprint in Argentina is an important part of our aggressive expansion strategy in Latin America, and we are thrilled to bring this project to life.”

Sheraton Tucuman is the ninth Sheraton branded hotel in the country, and the tenth hotel under a Starwood brand in the country. The hotel offers 124 guestrooms, including six executive suites and a presidential suite. The hotel also offers a Sheraton Club Lounge on the top floor.

With more than 28,000 square feet of meeting space, Sheraton Tucuman will feature one of the largest convention centers in the region. Meeting areas include five ballrooms with the largest measuring more than 10,800 square feet and a poolside terrace that spans more than 9,500 square feet.

Dining options include Mora Bistro Argentino, a restaurant that will have an international menu strongly influenced by the region’s gastronomy, along with a Lobby Bar and a Snack bar located on the pool deck.
