Silversmith Hotel Appoints Director of F&B

JonesCHICAGO—The Silversmith Hotel in downtown Chicago has named Adam Blake Jones as director of food and beverage of Adamus, the new lounge and restaurant. Bringing a wealth of hospitality and beverage industry experience, Jones will set the standards for alluring lounge service, local fresh flavors, handcrafted cocktails, and a buzzworthy atmosphere with the launch of Adamus.

“Adam encompasses the leadership skills and vision necessary to achieve success in a thriving Chicago restaurant and nightlife scene,” commented Hans Ritten, general manager, Silversmith Hotel. “We’re confident in his abilities to shape our program into one of the best.”

Directly overseeing all aspects of the food and beverage operation, Jones has engaged a talented team at Adamus to deliver an innovative product mix through exciting menu offerings and lounge promotions. Responsible for delivering a supreme guest experience, Jones facilitates important relationships with local farmers, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring the highest quality ingredients are presented at Adamus.

Prior to joining Silversmith Hotel, Jones opened Level Two Bar and Restaurant at Hyatt Chicago Magnificent Mile as director of outlets. He also led operations for five food and beverage outlets at The Intercontinental Hotel in Milwaukee, Wis., in addition to managing Blu and Lobby Lounge at The Pfister Hotel in Milwaukee. Throughout his time in the hospitality industry, Jones has gained experience developing new promotions, coordinating special events, implementing staff training programs, and budgeting. Jones earned a degree from Concordia University in Mequon before pursuing his career in the hospitality industry.
