Revive Collection

The Revive collection by 1956 by Tai Ping draws its inspiration from British street artist Paul Curtis’ innovative method of “reverse graffiti,” which involves meticulously cleaning and removing layers of dirt and other natural discolorations from existing surfaces, to create images in striking relief. However, in an twist on this subtractive approach, Revive embellishes rather than peels away. Through a three-level design process, a complementary foundation and layer are created by 1956 by Tai Ping in the style of his work. These two layers are then highlighted by one of several overlay finishes designed by the artist himself. taipingcarpets.com
