Puccini Group Bolsters International Hotel Focus

SAN FRANCISCO—Puccini Group Partner and Managing Director, Amy Jakubowski, announces plans to drive the leading hospitality concept, design, and operations firm into the international boutique hotel industry.

In taking the firm deeper into the hospitality world with the addition of boutique and lifestyle hotel clients, she has her sights set on creating and developing unique hospitality experiences not yet in existence, something that has historically proven successful for Puccini Group and its building out of new restaurant brands. Through creativity, innovation, and through the strategic growth of Puccini Group’s client base, Jakubowski will lead the charge in building the firm’s new hotel division.

“We have many exciting plans in store for 2014—one being the decision to increase our influence and reach by leading our traditionally restaurant-focused company into the international hotel industry, with a focus on boutique and lifestyle properties,” says Jakubowski.

A first step in the development of Puccini Group’s hotel consulting division, Jakubowski has brought on Grace Machado McClurg as the firm’s design director. In her new role, McClurg, a transplant from The Gettys Group in Los Angeles and a LEED accredited professional, will drive all project delivery through to schedule, while overseeing all phases of project delivery as she looks to enhance the design studio’s global impact and expand the studio’s overall scope of work. Both McClurg and Jakubowski foresee a bright future ahead for the burgeoning company.

Jakubowski states, “McClurg’s rich experience in designing for a variety of remarkable hospitality spaces worldwide will be a benefit to our team as we take on new projects in both the hotel and the restaurant industry. Furthermore, her wisdom will be an asset as we move into new markets in 2014.”

The firm is looking to engage new clients in key markets such as Russia, South America, and Europe in 2014. Additionally, Jakubowski’s far-reaching international experience in the Middle East and Asia will further aid in the expansion of Puccini Group’s presence in those pivotal regions.
