Historic Minneapolis Building to Become Hotel

    It looks like Minneapolis is gearing up for another luxury hotel—that is, if Heartland Realty Investors has its way.

    According to this article from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, says that Heartland, which recently acquired the Hotel Ivy, is under contract to buy the 104-year-old Plymouth Building located at Sixth Street and Hennepin Avenue in the city.

    According to the article, Heartland is looking to finalize a franchise agreement with Hilton Worldwide to put a Conrad hotel in the 12-story location, although Hilton or Heartland did not confirm the news.
