Hard Rock International Developing Hotel in Palm Springs, Calif.

ORLANDO, Fla.—Hard Rock International announced plans to open Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs in Fall 2013. The company, in collaboration with Kittridge Hotel Management, will transform the former Hotel Zoso into a 160-room lifestyle hotel.

“We’re thrilled to bring the Hard Rock experience to this world-renowned city and are very pleased with our new relationship with Kittridge Hotels,” said Nelson Parker, head of development in the Americas for Hard Rock Hotels & Casinos. “Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs will serve as an iconic entertainment and leisure destination and, true to the Hard Rock brand, will be a hot spot for musicians, celebrities and our valued Hard Rock fans.”

Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs will be the brand’s second lifestyle hotel in Southern California and will offer a VIP rock star suite, Rock Spa, Body Rock workout facility, the Rock Shop featuring Hard Rock’s merchandise, multiple dining options, a lobby bar, and a rock n’ roll oasis, where guests will enjoy poolside cocktails, chaise lounges and fire pits. The hotel will also offer 20,500 square feet of ballroom and banquet facility space and an @Biz Business Center. Hard Rock Hotel Palm Springs will ignite the region with live entertainment, adding to Palm Springs’ established scene of rich music traditions like the Coachella and Stagecoach Music Festivals. In addition, music and pop culture lovers will be treated to music memorabilia lining the hotel walls from local and global icons, including rock n’ roll legends, hip-hop stars, and indie artists alike.

The property will also offer brand wide programs including the interactive amenity “The Sound Of Your Stay,” where guests receive hands-on music experiences. The Sound of Your Stay offers Hard Rock fans three components: Tracks, where guests receive an exclusive code to download a personal playlist, curated by music pros and celebs; Picks, offering fans a menu of 20 Fender guitars for an in-room music session complete with amps and SOUL by Ludacris headphones; and Mix, where music fanatics match beats and remix like a pro with the in-room delivery of a Traktor Kontrol S2 mixer and a laptop loaded with digital mixing software.
