Dual-Branded Property Breaks Ground in Hillsboro, Oreg.

McLEAN, Va.—Embassy Suites Hotels and Hampton Inn and Suites recently broke ground on a new dual-branded property in Hillsboro, Oreg. Located outside of Portland, the hotels will be built side by side.

The full-service, all-suites Embassy Suites will be a seven-story, upscale hotel with 165 two-room suites, a restaurant, lounge and 3200-square-feet of meeting space. The property will feature Embassy Suites’ Design Option III model which enhances the guest experience by providing added space and more natural light in guestrooms and public areas, such as the atrium. The Hampton Inn and Suites will be a four-story, mid-priced hotel with 106 rooms and 600-square-feet of meeting space. Hampton Inn andSuites is anticipated to open in the spring of 2014 while the Embassy Suites will open in fall 2014. Western States Lodging is the developer of the project and will retain ownership and management of the complex.

Embassy Suites Hillsboro will feature all of the signature amenities standard at any Embassy Suites hotel, including free cooked-to-order breakfast each morning, a two-hour complimentary Evening Reception and two-room suites with a separate living area, private bedroom, two flat-screen high-definition televisions and wet bar fitted with a microwave, mini-fridge, and a selection of gourmet coffee and teas from The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf.

Hampton Inn & Suites Hillsboro will feature amenities such as free hot breakfast and modern fitness facility, as well as Hampton’s signature Perfect Mix lobby, designed with a variety of seating and lighting options as an extension of the guestroom. Guestrooms are equipped with the Clean and Fresh Hampton bed, free Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, and lap desk.
