DoubleTree by Hilton Opens Second Hotel in Rochester

MCLEAN, Va.—DoubleTree by Hilton announced the opening of a newly renovated, all-suite upscale full-service hotel in historic Rochester, N.Y. The 155-suite The Strathallan– a DoubleTree by Hilton, is located in the heart of Rochester’s East End, a cultural and historic district. The hotel is owned and operated by 550 East Ave, LLC, under a franchise license agreement with a subsidiary of Hilton Worldwide.

Over the past year each of the hotel’s guest suites was renovated to meet DoubleTree by Hilton standards and now include the brand’s signature Sweet Dreams sleep system, new carpets, drapery, furnishing, and wall coverings. Renovations to the public spaces make the transformation complete.

“We chose DoubleTree by Hilton because of the Hilton name. Hilton stands for quality and provides the best customer service in the industry. DoubleTree allowed us to keep the uniqueness of The Strathallan which we felt was important since The Strathallan has been a fixture in the Rochester community. We are happy to be a part of the Hilton family,” said Kevin Morgan, in an announcement.

The guest suites feature two full-size rooms; granite bathrooms; mini fridge; complimentary wireless high-speed internet access; spacious work desks with ergonomic chairs; 42-inch, high-definition, LCD TVs; and MP3-compatible alarm clocks. Many rooms offer balconies as well as living areas separated from the bedrooms with solid core doors.

The Strathallan – a DoubleTree by Hilton also offers 2,492 square feet of flexible meeting spaces. The hotel also has a 24-hour self-service business center and complimentary printing service that includes “print-from-your room” convenience as well as a lobby market that is always accessible. Leisure amenities also include a 24-hour fitness center and a heated indoor swimming pool are available.
