KINGSTON, Ontario—Delta Hotels and Resorts announced the official opening of the Delta Kingston Waterfront Hotel in Kingston, Ontario. The hotel has undergone an extensive $10 million renovation to completely revamp the property. The newly repositioned hotel will deliver the city’s first 4-star upscale, full-service hotel.
“We are excited to bring Delta’s 4-star upscale hotel experience to one of the best locations in Kingston,” said Ken Greene, president and CEO, Delta Hotels and Resorts. “The property’s prime waterfront and downtown location is what sets it apart from the competition, and the renovation has repositioned the hotel as a product leader in the local marketplace. We are thrilled to offer our guests one of the most modern, innovative and thoughtfully designed hotels in the city.”
The Delta Kingston Waterfront hotel offers 126 ModeRoom guestrooms and suites; a redesigned lobby and the creation of an open space business area featuring a series of interactive work hubs and lounge areas; and 5,000 square feet of newly revamped meeting and conference space. The onsite restaurant, AquaTerra by Clark was also fully renovated.
“The renovation is an important evolution for the hotel,” said Greg Bell, General Manager, Delta Kingston Waterfront Hotel. “Delta is well known for its high level of service excellence and we are excited to deliver the upscale Delta experience to our guests.”
The new guest room design is inspired by the Canadian landscape, with a focus on maximizing natural light. The rooms balance functionality and adaptability – as exemplified by the SmartDesk, a fully-wired, multi-purpose area that provides guests with a clutter-free space, built-in power and connectivity dock, and links from your laptop and mobile devices to the flat screen high definition TV.
Rooms also feature shelves and hooks in the entry way, pinpoint reading lights in the headboard, custom bathroom vanities, and bedside plug-ins for smartphone devices.
The hotel is Delta’s ninth property in Ontario.
