Constance Hotel Reopens as DusitD2 Constance Pasadena

PASADENA, Calif.—Set in the midst of Pasadena’s central business district, the new DusitD2 Constance Pasadena is the first location in the United States for the Dusit family of hotels. DusitD2 Constance Pasadena offers modern design by Hong Kong-based designer Joey Ho and innovative in-room technology.

“We are thrilled to enter the United States with this iconic property in the growing city center of Pasadena within the thriving Los Angeles region,” said Chanin Donavanik, managing director and chief executive officer of Dusit International. “We look forward to continuing the Dusit legacy of creating uplifting experiences for our guests in this new and exciting U.S. market.”

The hotel is a joint venture between Dusit International and Singpoli Group, a Pasadena and Arcadia-based capital company.

“Throughout our long-time presence in the Pasadena community, we’ve seen a true need for an innovative and exciting hotel property to come into the downtown Pasadena scene,” said Kin Hui, chairman of Singpoli Group and general partner of Park Place Commercial LP, the ownership group of the property. “We are pleased to bring the legendary Dusit brand to the United States with this new opening in the heart of historic downtown Pasadena.”

The hotel includes 136 guestrooms and suites and features contemporary design and tech-savvy amenities. The hotel’s D2 restaurant and d’bar specialize in locally-sourced cuisine with Asian flavors and hand-crafted cocktails.

A second phase of the hotel’s development, slated for completion in 2016, will include 25 club level guestrooms with a club lounge, a rooftop pool with an outdoor sundeck and pool bar, a fitness center, two boardrooms, and new retail and dining outlets adjacent to the hotel.
