Colorado Flood Victims and Aid Workers Filling Hotels

Hotels in Longmont, Colo., are seeing high occupancy levels as they host flood victims and aid workers in the aftermath of the devastating flooding that recently wreaked havoc on the region.

According to this article from Times-Call hotels are packed with people coming in from out of town to help the area rebuild.

The Best Western Plus Plaza Hotel and Convention Center explains that it has many members of the Army National Guard staying to help rebuild roads, and more soldiers are expected to stay at the property in October to continue to help the area get back on its feet.

Meanwhile, the Residence Inn in Longmont has been busy catering to flood victims and trying to make them comfortable while they wait for more information. Bill Weiberg told the newspaper that it’s a “guessing game” for both the hotel and the victims as to when guests will be able to get back to their homes.

The Hampton and Super 8 hotels in the area are also seeing many of their rooms filled with guests in town to help the rebuilding and cleanup efforts.
