Chesapeake Hospitality Adds Country Inn and Suites Hotel to Portfolio

GREENBELT, Md.—Chesapeake Hospitality has transitioned management of the Newark, Del.-based Country Inn and Suites hotel to its growing full-service management portfolio. Kim Sims, president of Chesapeake Hospitality, made the announcement.

The 59-guestroom property offers guest amenities, including free Internet access, an on-site fitness center, and a complimentary breakfast buffet that features eggs, bagels, assorted breads, fresh fruit, and hot and cold cereals.

“We are proud to continue to add to our growing portfolio of hotels with the addition of this Country Inn and Suites,” said Sims. “We look forward to putting our outstanding processes, great people and extensive experience in all areas of hotel management to work immediately to provide patrons with an unmatched guest experience.”

Chesapeake Hospitality assumed management of the hotel on January 2. Robert Minto, who possesses nearly a decade of hotel property management experience, will serve as general manager. Minto most recently worked as takeover general manager for Philadelphia-based GF Management. In that role, Minto ran multiple properties and different branded hotels, including performing all accounting, budgets and funding requests and HR functions for Best Western and Best Western South in Dayton, Ohio, Cheat Lake Gold Resort in Morgantown, W.Va., and Ramada in Valley Forge, Pa.
