Cambria Suites Announces Expansion To New Markets

PHOENIX—Cambria Suites, the upscale all-suites brand by Choice Hotels International, Inc. announced three development agreements during The Lodging Conference. The fast-growing brand has plans to build hotels in West Orange, N.J.; West Palm Beach, Fla.; and Williamsport, Pa. The West Orange property will be the first Cambria Suites hotel in New Jersey.

“We are committed to the growth of Cambria Suites, as it’s an essential part of Choice’s plans for the upscale market,” said Steve Joyce, president and CEO of Choice Hotels International. “The agreements we are announcing today are just the beginning of Cambria Suites’ continued growth strategy.”

The West Orange, N.J. property, with a planned open date of fall 2013, is being developed by Sun Development & Management Corporation. The 127-suite, 70,000 square foot hotel will be located in northwest West Orange, at Interstate 280 and Prospect Avenue.

The Williamsport, Pa. and West Palm Beach, Fla. properties both will be developed by Welteroth Property Group. The Williamsport hotel will be the third Cambria Suites hotel in Pennsylvania. The first hotel in Fairfield Township, the Williamsport property will feature 121 suites and will be located in Fairfield Crossing, a mixed-use complex directly off Interstate 180. The West Palm Beach Cambria Suites hotel will be located near the West Palm Beach business district, in close proximity to the Palm Beach County Convention Center.

There are currently 19 open Cambria Suites hotels, with properties in Miami Fla. and White Plains, N.Y. expected to open in the summer of 2013.
