Gordon Ramsay's 'Hotel Hell' Debuts Monday
For years, Gordon Ramsay has spent his time yelling at chefs and restaurant owners and managers on television shows such as "Hell's Kitchen" and "Kitchen Nightmares." And now, the hotel industry is about to experience some of Ramsay's signature wrath.
On Monday and Tuesday, August 13 and 14, Ramsay's new reality show "Hotel Hell" will debut on Fox with a two-part series premiere.
The premise will sound familiar to the Travel Channel's "Hotel Impossible" (which stars Anthony Melchiorri). In "Hotel Hell" Ramsay will check into struggling properties all across America and help hotel owners confront problems and get back into the business of pleasing guests. Ramsay and his crew will also make over portions of the hotel to show owners the visual improvements that can be made to help boost business.
In the first episode of the series, Ramsay visits the Juniper Hill Inn in Vermont where he encounters a funky smell in his guestroom, a hoarders-style office space and cluttered basement, and an arrogant owner. And from the few preview clips that are available on the show web site, Ramsay is his usual foul-mouthed self.
Throughout the first season, Ramsay will travel to hotels in San Diego, Calif.; Coeur D'Alene, Idaho; Cambridge, NY; Milford, Penn. and stay at some of the most desperate and dilapidated properties he can find. And yes, there are bugs and blacklights involved, and you probably will be completely grossed out.
The series will air Mondays at 8 p.m. (EST) on Fox. Check out the preview below for a sneak peek of the new hotel reality series.
