Ducks Check Progress on LEGOLAND Hotel

6/14/2012 | The Scene
Although the LEGOLAND Hotel in California, the nation's first of its kind, won't be ready to welcome guests until the summer of 2013, it looks like some early visitors managed to find their way onto the property to check out the progress.

A family of ducks—a mother and her five ducklings—were caught on camera wandering around the construction zone. The adorable intruders tried to find their way into the building and then turned to head to the pool area—only to find that both places weren't quite ready to accommodate them just yet.

Along the way, the feathered guests attracted the attention of some construction workers who pointed and smiled as the ducks waddled around the resort.

This is all just too adorable, so we couldn't help sharing it with you.

The LEGOLAND Hotel, being built by R.D. Olson Construction, will be a 250-room family hotel aiming to bring children's imaginations to life. The three-story property will use bright decor and feature rooms and suites themed after the most popular LEGOLAND areas: Pirate, Kingdom, and Adventure.

And if you happen to be as curious at the ducks, you can check out the live construction webcam of the resort and watch as the hotel comes to life.
