Hilton Garden Inn Team Members Help Hurricane Relief Efforts

11/27/2012 | The Scene
Staten Island was one of the areas his hardest when Superstorm Sandy ravaged the East Coast late last month. Area residents and business are still struggling to rebuild.

But team members from four Hilton Garden Inn properties in the Northeast are doing their parts to help with relief efforts and get much-needed supplies to the local community.

Last week, HGI Brand Performance Support Director Sean Collard joined volunteers from HGI Norwalk, CT; HGI Bridgewater, NJ; HGI Riverhead, NY; and the HGI Westhampton/Mount Holly, NJ at the Hilton Garden Inn Staten Island to assemble relief kits for those affected by the disaster. The group packaged over 1,000 kits, some of which went back to the participating hotels to help efforts within their own communities.

The team also delivered 300 relief kits to the residents of Staten Island who were affected by the storm. The Hilton Garden Inn in Staten Island is a supporter of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Tower Foundation and their efforts for Staten Island Hurricane Relief.
