Hilton Achieves One Million Facebook Fans

We all know that social media has become a vital marketing tool for the hotel industry. It gives hotels the chance to reach guests, promote their property, and control their online reputations. But some hotels and hotel brands use Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram better than others.

One brand that is achieving major milestones through social media is Hilton Hotels & Resorts. The company just reached a whopping one million fans on Facebook, making it the first hotel brand to surpass the million-like mark. 

In order to achieve so many fans and followers, Hilton made an effort to increase global engagement and launched specific U.K. and Mexico pages earlier this year. Hilton also developed a strategy for Facebook promotion through targeting users who like hotel brands, airlines, loyalty programs, and other like-minded brands. The strategy also focused efforts on countries where Hilton has a strong recognition and presence.

Hilton says that its Facebook page has become a valuable marketing channel that drives conversation about hotels, regions, openings, news, and promotions.
