KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.—Local Hotel Adventures, an independent hotel management company, will debut the Andell Inn, a new boutique village hotel, in March of this year. The hotel will be branded with Marriott’s Residence Inn brand.
Located in Freshfields Village, Kiawah Island, S.C., the hotel was built on land once owned by the Andell family. Guests will easily be able to connect to Kiawah Islands’ 10-mile beach, 38 miles of bike paths, championship golf and tennis facilities, as well as to Bohicket Marina on Seabrook Island. Historic downtown Charleston is a 30-minute
drive from the hotel.
Guest suites are residential in design, featuring studio, one and two bedroom units with fully equipped kitchens, living rooms, and large workspaces. Room rates include complimentary breakfast, Internet, parking, and guest laundry. Guests of Andell Inn will also have access to a saltwater resort-style pool, extensive wrap around porches, a fully equipped business center, and a fitness club.
According to CEO Donald Semmler, “Andell Inn blends Marriott’s Rewards Program and the Residence Inn guestroom with redesigned social spaces and custom interior design.”
The new hotel will create a positive economic impact for Freshfields Village, as well as Charleston County. A study conducted by Bleakly Advisory Group estimates the total economic benefit to Charleston County as a result of building
Andell Inn is $22.8 million. Annual spending for the county will increase $6.8 million, creating an additional 39 regional jobs.
