Alliance Hospitality Appoints New President and CEO

EJAlliance Hospitality has appointed industry veteran EJ Schanfarber as its president and chief executive officer effective immediately. Schanfarber brings more than 30 years of hospitality experience to Alliance Hospitality, and prior to joining the company he served as president and CEO of Divi Resorts, overseeing development and management of destination resorts in the Caribbean. Schanfarber has also held executive level positions with Remington Hotels, Extended Stay America, Omni Hotels & Resorts, and other hospitality management firms. His background covers all sectors of the hospitality industry, including full-service and select-service hotels, as well as extended-stay hotels and lifestyle or destination resorts. Schanfarber has worked with all major hotel franchisors including Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Starwood, Choice, Wyndham, and Carlson Hotels & Resorts.

“EJ has a proven track record of developing a comprehensive management program and increasing the value of a hotel management company, and I am confident that he is the right leader to grow Alliance Hospitality,” said Rolf Tweeten, chairman of the board. “EJ’s knowledge and expertise allow him to strategically and efficiently evaluate opportunities for growth within our third-party hotel management model at Alliance Hospitality in order to select the ideal properties to add to the portfolio.”
