Last Thursday, Rezidor announced that Wolfgang M. Neumann would succeed industry veteran Kurt Ritter as president and CEO of Rezidor Hotel Group at the beginning of 2013.
Ritter, who has been in his current role with Rezidor since 1989, will aid Neumann with the transition into his new role with the company.
Neumann joined Rezidor in May 2011 and will work to increase Rezidor's EBITDA margin by 6 to 8 percent by the year 2015. In regards to his appointment as president and CEO, Neumann stated, ""I am honoured to succeed Kurt Ritter, and look forward to leading Rezidor in our ambitious Route 2015 strategy. We will continue to focus on meeting the needs of our guests, owners and shareholders while building with our team members on the unique culture of this dynamic company."
Other industry appointments:
John Rodgers was named Embassy Suites as global head of the Hilton Worldwide brand. In this position, Rogers will oversee all aspects of brand management including global development, brand performance support, brand marketing and PR, brand sales, revenue management and franchise owner relations. Rogers will be based at Hilton Worldwide’s global headquarters in McLean, VA.
Jorian Weiner was appointed as the new marketing and communications manager of The Setai, Miami Beach. In this position, Weiner will be responsible for the overall promotion of the luxury hotel, to include managing all creative marketing and communications initiatives, advertising and social media campaigns, e-Commerce efforts, and community relations support. Most recently, Weiner was with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, L.L.C., where she oversaw public relations, creative marketing, community relations, and internal communications for The Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples.
Don Crandall is now the general manager of SAIA Sushi and Asian Grill at the B Ocean in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Crandall’s background includes experience overseeing the complete food and beverage operations at the Embassy Suites Resort & Spa in Deerfield Beach, Gallery One Doubletree Suites in Fort Lauderdale, Hilton Resort & Marina Key West and the Colony West Country Club in Tamarac.
