Residence Inn Hotel to Open in Vancouver

BETHESDA, Maryland —Marriott International, Inc. is scheduled to open the 201-suite Residence Inn by Marriott in Vancouver, British Columbia on Friday. The former Cascadia Hotel & Suites will operate as a Marriott franchise, owned and managed by Vancouver-based SilverBirch Hotels & Resorts.

“We are pleased to introduce Residence Inn hotels in the Vancouver area,” said Diane Mayer, vice president and global brand manager, Residence Inn, in an announcement. “When on the road for an extended period, our guests need space to spread out, maintain their life’s pace and restore their energy to help them maintain a healthy balance and routine while traveling. This new hotel offers them a seamless blend of modern style and functionality that allows them to settle in and thrive.”

Residence Inn by Marriott Vancouver Downtown Hotel Features: studios and studio suites with separate living, working, dining, and sleeping areas; in-suite kitchens; free WiFi and high-speed Internet in all suites; 24-hour market in the lobby; and semi-private and "social" common areas including lounge, fitness center, indoor heated pool, and outdoor garden terrance with fire pit and BBQ grill. 

The hotel also features the Cavino restaurant which will offer a new all-day dining experience. Other hotel facilities and services include an indoor pool, fitness center, an outdoor deck, a social room, weeknight social hour, and 2,196 square feet of meeting space to accommodate meetings of up to 100 people.
