Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate Adding Conference Center

ORLANDO—The Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate is partnering with Osceola County to offer a new 55,000-square-foot conference center for meeting attendees, exhibit goers, brides-to-be, and event planners alike. Scheduled to open in January 2013, the new addition to the resort will add more than 46,000 square feet to the existing event space, resulting in more than 100,000 square feet in total.
The new convention center will include a 28,800-square-foot ballroom which will will accommodate up to 150 10’ x10’ exhibits or can break out to eight flexible meeting rooms. Communications and computer technology, open pre-function area, an event lawn, and a large loading dock have also been incorporated into the design of the upcoming conference center.
“The conference center will improve the already-top notch luxury meeting experience offered at the Omni Orlando Resort, “ said Mike Magnelli, managing director, in an announcement. “We look forward to serving more needs with the expansion to the resort.”
