Marriott Hotels & Resorts Announces First Hotel in Voronezh, Russia

As Marriott International continues its expansion across Eastern Europe, the company today announced the signing of a new hotel in Russia – the 220-room Voronezh Marriott Hotel. The hotel is scheduled to open in 2015 and will operate under a management agreement with Ojsc Tsum-Voronezh.
“We are thrilled to announce this great new addition to our portfolio in Russia and to continue to grow our flagship Marriott Hotels & Resorts brand here,” said Amy McPherson, president and managing director of Marriott International in Europe, in an announcement. “We currently operate 14 hotels across Russia and see tremendous opportunity for continued growth across all of our brands in this incredible market.”
Located in downtown Voronezh on Prospekt Revolyutsii, the hotel will occupy a prime commercial location as part of a new development accommodating shops, office space, and residential apartments.
The hotel will feature 660 square metres of flexible meeting space, including a column-free ballroom, and a dedicated business center. Leisure facilities will include a health club with fitness centre, sauna, steam room, and spa treatment rooms.
There are currently 14 operating Marriott International branded hotels in Russia. READER COMMENTS
