Island Hospitality to Manage Hampton Inn in Portland, Maine

 PALM BEACH, Fla.—Officials of Island Hospitality Management LLC announced that it has assumed management of the 122-room Hampton Inn Portland Downtown – Waterfront Hotel in Portland, Maine. The addition of this location brings the company’s total managed portfolio to 78 hotels in 22 states across the nation.
“This hotel has been open only a short time and is still ramping up,” said Tim Walker, president and CEO of Island. “We have an affinity for helping hotels realize their full potential. We already operate in the Portland market, which will allow for synergies that can benefit both hotels.
The six-story hotel opened in August, 2011. The guestrooms are equipped with the brand’s signature clean and fresh Hampton beds, 42-inch HD televisions and complimentary high speed internet access. The hotel offers a business center, indoor swimming pool, and fitness center, and serves Hampton Inn’s complimentary hot breakfast each day.
