MCLEAN, Va.—Hilton Worldwide announced it has signed two management agreements to operate a Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Queretaro and a Hampton Inn by Hilton property in San Juan del Rio—both in the state of Queretaro, Mexico. Scheduled to open in Q3 and Q4 2012, respectively, the addition of these hotels will bring the total number of Hilton Worldwide properties operating in Mexico to 27.
Danny Hughes, senior vice president, Caribbean, Mexico and Latin America, Hilton Worldwide said in a statement, “We are thrilled to announce the signing of these two management agreements as they reinforce our serious commitment to growth in Mexico and Latin America. As part of our expansion efforts throughout the region, we plan to introduce our portfolio of brands to new markets and provide both business and leisure travelers with the best selection of properties throughout the country.”
The Hilton Garden Inn Queretaro is located near key industrial parks and the historic center of the city. The four-story hotel scheduled to open in Q3 2012 after a conversion process, will feature 102 guestrooms, a full service restaurant and bar, the 24-hour Pavilion Pantry shop, and meeting space, as well as all of the Hilton Garden Inn brand signature attributes such as complimentary high-speed Internet access and a 24-hour business center.
The new build Hampton Inn by Hilton San Juan del Rio in Queretaro, offering 92 guestrooms, will be located approximately 30 miles from the international airport and in the center of the city’s most important industrial zone. With an anticipated opening in Q4 2012, the hotel will feature meeting space and the brand’s signature features such as free, hot breakfast, free high-speed Internet access and a stylish lobby with a zoned environment providing the ideal facilities for working, mingling or relaxing.
Both the Hilton Garden Inn Queretaro and the Hampton Inn by Hilton San Juan del Rio will participate in Hilton HHonors.
Hilton Worldwide currently has a portfolio of 25 hotels and resorts open and welcoming travelers in Mexico. The company has nine hotels currently under development throughout the country and continues to actively pursue additional growth opportunities in Mexico.
