DoubleTree by Hilton Launches Third Hotel in India
GOA, India—Hilton Worldwide today opened the newly-renovated, upscale full-service DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga, the third DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in India. READER COMMENTS
Formerly known as Riviera De Goa, the 105-room DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga marks its new affiliation with a range of refurbishments that include refreshed guestrooms, a new fully-equipped business center, updated technology, and an enhanced dining experience that encompasses the new restaurant Flame, which offers an extensive menu of Goan, Indian, Chinese, and Italian delicacies.
In an announcement, Martin Rinck, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton Worldwide, said, "The launch of DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga is another significant step in our growth strategy in India as it represents our entry into a leisure destination in the country. With the opening of this hotel, Hilton Worldwide now operates 10 hotels in India. Following on from a great year of growth in 2011, when we opened six hotels, we are expanding rapidly in India and anticipate increasing our presence to 14 hotels by the end of this year".
Owned by Riviera De Goa Resorts and Hotels Private Limited and managed by Hilton Worldwide, DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga features guestrooms with a private balcony or patio, wired and wireless internet access, HD LCD satellite television, electronic safe, refrigerated private bar, in-room tea and coffee making facilities, radio alarm clock with MP3 player connection, and an iron and ironing board. Additional amenities include 24-hour in-room dining, laundry, and concierge services.
The hotel features a 24-hour business center and 3000 square feet of flexible conference and banqueting facilities that can accommodate up to 200 persons. For guests who wish to keep up with their workout schedule, DoubleTree by Hilton Goa-Arpora-Baga offers a fitness center and an outdoor swimming pool.
