EnviroCel™ is an eco-friendly high-performance polyurethane carpet backing system manufactured by Universal Textile Technologies. EnviroCel ™ contains recycled, recovered and renewable materials and can qualify for points from the USGBC® LEED® Green Building Rating System™. In addition to the sustainable nature of EnviroCel, our backing is engineered to withstand repeated wet cleanings, enhance roller mobility, reduce noise levels, resist snagging and raveling and extend the life and appearance of your carpet.

Universal Textile Technologies has partnered with Yellowstone National Park to create Project Yellowstone. This partnership takes the recycled plastic bottles from Yellowstone National Park and converts them into a non-woven fleece material used to manufacture EnviroCel™ carpet backing. Project Yellowstone diverts plastic bottles from entering landfills, creates and protects jobs for the American workforce and dramatically decreases the fuel and other resources traditionally used to transport materials overseas.
